When you visit the city of Yogyakarta, you must not forget to buy bakpia. This small cake from China used to be called Tou Luk Pia which means green bean pia cake. Bakpia has been produced in the town of Pathok Yogyakarta since 1948. Since then, bakpia has become famous and has many kinds of fillings such as cheese, chocolate, durian and pineapple. Don't worry if you want to make this bakpia at home but don't have an oven to cook it in. You can use Teflon to cook the bakpia. 

The typical Yogyakarta Teflon bakpia is a round, flat cake with various fillings. Generally, bakpia is filled with green vegetables, but over time, one can also find bakpia filled with chocolate, cheese, black beans, red beans, taro, etc. Typical Yogyakarta food is definitely a must-buy souvenir when traveling in Yogyakarta.
 
It doesn't taste better than the bakpia sold in souvenir shops, here's how to make Teflon Bakpia crazy. Leather material: 
 
  • 200 g flour 
  • 40 g of sugar 
  • 40 g of margarine 
  • 1 tsp yeast 
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt 
  • 96 ml of hot water

  • 175g peeled, green leaves without skin 
  • 100 g of sugar 
  • 75 ml thick coconut milk 
  • 3/4 teaspoon of salt 
 
How to do it: 
 
Make the bakpaia skin: 
 
- Mix all the dry ingredients. Add water little by little, stir until the dough is smooth. Leave for 45 minutes, covered with a clean towel.
 
Filling: 
 
  1. Cook green chicken, then mix them with coconut milk. Heat the pot, add good green beans, add sugar and salt. Cook until the mixture is cooked and smooth. Until the dough can be formed 
  2. Take 1 tablespoon of filling and 1 teaspoon of skin. Make round skins, then spread them, decorate it with green beans. Kinds like Bakpia 
  3. Heat a Teflon pot, cook on low heat so that it does not burn quickly. After about 3 
  4. 4 minutes, turn. Bake until cooked 
 
Cooking tips: 
 
  1. Use a Teflon cover to cover the resulting bakpa and cook it well on both sides. 
  2. If you don't want to knead the dough individually, you can roll everything together. After that, it is enough to divide the dough into 20 parts.
  3. Remember to trim and discard the skin from the bottom of the bakpia which is too thick when it is formed.
